None of the figurines from the original Disney Infinity will work in this version's Play Set mode, but they will all work in Toy Box mode, with all of their stats intact. Each character is designed to offer a different set of abilities, and as gamers level up they can use the new skill trees to unlock additional attacks and signature moves. However, this version offers much larger environments to accommodate special abilities like flight, and for the first time in the series, some characters are playable in multiple Play Sets. ![]() The core mechanics of Marvel Super Heroes remain the same as the original, with players placing one or two figurines on the Infinity Base to enter a particular Play Set and adding Power Discs to provide special weapons or powers. Players once again set collectible plastic figurines (sold separately) on a special Infinity Base in order to play as popular characters, this time helping The Avengers prevent Loki from freezing New York City, joining Spider-Man as he tries to thwart Green Goblin's evil plans, and battling in outer space with the Guardians of the Galaxy.
